Post  Philliper Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:44 am

General information:

Characters name: Phlipper
Class: Shaman
Race: Space Cow / Draenei
Level at time of application: 80
Played Time on your character: 26 days, 5 hours, 46 mins
Profesions and level of professions: Jewelcrafting 455 / Mining 450
Do you have a stable internet connection (Yes/No and average MS in raids): I don't ever got troubles with my internet connection - Average ms in raids is 50-100

What other characters do you have?

I got a 70 Rogue but haven't really found the time to level it. I might someday if needed or if I'm extremely bored;D

Raid times and Experience:

We raid 7 days a week, days and times could possibly change in the future, please delete yes or no below depending on whether you would be able to attend or not. (server times)
Monday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Tuesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Wednesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Thursday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Friday 19:30-xx:xx - Yes, No limit
Saturday 19:30-xx:xx - Yes, No limit
Sunday 19:30-23:00 - Yes
Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?
Vanilla WoW:
In Vanilla WoW I played my warrior (Maelstrom realm)who was the first character I ever made. I joined Star Troopers (odd name I know) and cleared all content up to Huhuran in AQ40. It slowly got boring and the guild disbanded so I decided to take a break from WoW
and start making up for the loss of friends I made during my raiding period;D Luckely today most of my friends play wow. When WotLK came out my friends started nagging me to play again and I can't say I regret it. WotLK have been awsome so far (though far to easy) and I enjoy every part of it (After much testing I've come to the conclussion that Dalaran is better jumping around in then IF!)

General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?
On my Shaman I've only been in 1 guild - Danish Raiders, and as you might noticed I'm planing to leave it. The
reason im leaving it is that they changed the loot rules. They don't run with DKP so it's always roles (which I can respect though would preffer DKP). Last night I was raiding Naxx 25 and this neck drops - Me and this other shaman (his first raid ever) both rolls and I win. Because of the new loot rules he gets the item course his more in need of it (think he had a blue neck), and I just can't accept that. This have happened several times after the new loot system came and I'm not going to raid if a trial comes and "steal" the gear I need.
Remember this can checked

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
Heroism - 30% haste to the raid is very usefull, popped at the right time it can be crucial for defeating the boss
Totems - Totems provides a huge buff for my group and is very usefull tool (Disease cleansing on Heigan etc)
Healing - As a shaman provide very nice raid healing and ES to the tank which can be lifesaving

What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?
I would love if they could give Riptide or/and Healing wave a boost. It would make shamans much more aviable as MT healers.

What do you think you can add to Eternals?
I can add a solid and dedicated raider. I will fight to be on top on the healing meter, while still doing everything needed to down a boss.

What do you think Eternals can do for you?
They can provide me with my need of raiding and still having fun while doing it.

Personal infomation; Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?
In real life my names i Phillip (therefrom Phlipper) and I'm 17 years old and live in Denmark (got warned about telling you this!, atleast I'm not NE:P). I'm taking a year of to have fun and work a bit so got nothing but time. Don't got anyone to nagg me

Additional information which you would like to name?
I can also add a little video of Natulini getting slapped ;D - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0-vtpCAPAw

Loot seems to have played qquite a part in you wanting to leave your guild, this dosnt bode well. Illpost our dkp rules before we continue this. If you agree and are happy with them, then we'll continue with your application.

Information on our DKP system:

Eternals use a DKP system called Earnt Points/Gear Points (EPGP), you can download the addon to see yours and other guild members EPGP from here: Click here to download

This sytem is now widely used by many guilds. The way it works is in a raid you will earn points (EP), you will only earn for time spent in the raid and not for boss kills. When an item drops we charge you gear points (GP) for the item that drops. The GP for an item is determined by whether it is for your main or your alt, the other modifier is it's improvement to what you currently have. Now you have 2 numbers, EP and GP, we use these 2 numbers to form a priority for loot. To get the priority we divide the EP by the GP (EP / GP).

An example:
You earn 1200 EP in a week.
You spend 100 GP in a week.

1200 / 100 = 12 priority

Rigsby earns 1200 EP in a week.
Rigsby spends 250 GP in a week.

1200 / 250 = 4.8 priority

As your priority is now higher than mine. If an item drops and we both want it; your priority for that item is higher than mine and you will "win" it and pay GP for it. You may or may not have spent enough so that your priority is still above me, if it is you will "win" the next item and the next untill your priority drops below mine. If 2 people are on the same priority (the likelyhood is low) then a roll will commence for the item.

Unchangeable priority:

There are several unchangeable factors in EPGP. Mains will ALWAYS have priority over alts and offspec. Trialists will automatically have the lowest priority regardless of their EPGP.

Core Raiders will always have the upper hand. These are members who raid often and are an asset to the guild. They have earnt their position through their dedication to the guild and raiding. A Core Raider will earn his EPGP in the same way as everyone else. They will be bound by priority however if an item drops that they do not have priority for but is of great necessity to the guild then the Raid Leader can overrule priority to give the item to a Core Raider (they will still pay GP for it.)

Trialists will only recieve loot that no other main wants. This will only last the length of trial and come the end of their trial they will have all their EP and priority available to them. They will not lose loot to offspecs during their trial unless it is to a person with "Off-Spec Priority". People with "Off-Spec Priority" are people with great necessity to the guild, for example a main tank will have priority on off-spec items for when he has to go DPS on fights often.

What happens when an item drops:

The Raid Leader will ask the people in the raid who have the highest priority first if they want the item. He will go down the list asking individually who would like the item untill there is no one left who can use the item and is a main. This can be time consuming but is important in ensuring loot is given to the person deserving and to minimise mistakes. If no one wants the item he will ask if anyone in the raid would like it. It is now and only now that if you want for Alt or if you want to pay for off-spec priority; you say in raid chat. It is important it is in raid chat and not said on vent. If no one wants it for Alt or off-spec then the raid leader will invite people to roll on the item for off-spec.

Priority:
Main > Alt/Off-Spec paying > Alt/off-Spec priority > Trialist > Roll for Off-Spec

The Raid Leader will have final say on all loot and EP/GP matters for the raid they are leading. If you feel there is unfairness in any decision by a Raid Leader then you should seek to contact the Guild Leader and only him. As I am the Guild Leader I can tell you now I will almost certainly side with the Raid Leader.

Earning EP:

You will earn your EP through time spent in raids.

Progressive EP:
Non-Progressive EP: 1 per 10mins

Spending GP:

You will spend GP on items you want from raids.

Current level of raiding item (Upgrade): 20

Alt current level of raiding item (Upgrade): Half the main cost.

Offpec item: Rolls based. You can pay to use your priority on an item at the cost of alt items.

Shaman, Restoration - Phlipper (Accepted) Empty More the principal

Post  Philliper Tue Mar 17, 2009 11:43 am

The reason I couldn't accept it is more the principal of it. Me, a active raider getting second in line over a trial. Besides, I didn't enjoy raiding with DR so loot and progression was my only motivation to keep raiding. I got no problems at all with your loot rules and got no problems about loot, it's the raiding part that mean something to me, loot is a part of it but not even 10%.
