Interesting boss, the fight starts in a fully powered up mode and by killing optional adds you can make it easier. Only trouble is the boss is on a strict enrage timer, take too long killing adds and he will enrage.

THE BOSS:
Halfus Wyrmbreaker
: Starts with Frenzied Assault (Increases attack speed by 100%). In 25man mode may require two tanks switching as he applies a debuff that reduces healing taken. At 30% starts whirlwinding constantly (like bonestorm). Needs to be nuked down.

Red Dragon: A mob that flies around the arena and casts fireballs at raid members, these are too fast to be avoided. Intermittently casts a fire breath that hits the whole raid for lots of unavoidable damage. Too much HP to be worried about.

THE ADDS:
5 Dragon adds are spaced around the arena. Each week 3 different ones will be *awake*. When awake they provide the boss with a buff. If you speak to the awake adds you free them. They have just enough time to cast their buff for the raid before Halfus "breaks" them and makes them hostile. When hostile they apply a debuff to the raid that lasts until the add is killed. When killed they ability they originally provided to the boss disappears.

The Time Warden: Increases fireball damage when alive. Buffs the raid by slowing down the speed of the red dragon's fireballs, allowing them to be dodged. When alive and hostile the entire raid is UNABLE TO MOVE.

Nether Scion: Gives Halfus a haste buff when alive. When alive and hostile debuffs the raid with 15% less hit, 15% attack speed reduction and 25% less damage.

The Slate Dragon: Gives Halfus a Mortal Strike ability. This stacks on tanks so switching needs to occur. Buffs the raid by periodically stunning Halfus, he make take more damage when stunned. When alive and hostile the entire raid is stunned every occassionally for 8-10seconds.

Storm Rider: Gives the boss a new ability: Shadow Nova: AOE shadow damage and knockback, interruptable. Buffs the raid by slowing Halfus's attack and casting speed. When alive and hostile the entire raid is constantly interrupted so only instant cast abilities are usable.

Emerald Welplings: Increases the Fire Dragons AOE damage. Activated by opening the cage. Looks like ~10 adds that need to be AOE tanked and burned down. Buffs the raid by reducing the amount to raid damage taken by the red dragons flame breath. When active and hostile the raids damage is reduced by 2000.

Tactics:
Raid will need to decide in what order to release and kill the awake adds. Killing each add provides a 50% damage taken debuff to the boss so need to be taken down asap. Killing the second makes the boss take 100% more damage.
Suggested priority for adds could be:
1.) Nether Scion: Damage taken by tanks is very high if this add is not killed.
2.) Time Warden: Lots of unavoidable raid damage if left alive.
3.) Emerald Whelps: Lots of unavoidable raid damage if left alive. Less than Time Warden.
4.) Slate Dragon: Tank switching is annoying but not the end of the world. Regular boss stun is very useful.
5.) Storm Rider: AOE nova can be interrupted (may be priority above 4)
