General information

Character name: Adieu
Class:Priest
Race:Human
Armory link:http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Azuremyst&cn=Adieu
UI screenshot: I dont currently have a SS - i assume you wish to know my keybinds rather than the general aesthetics. At this moment in time, i'm using a 9-Button Razor coupled with Clique, and its made for a pretty unbeatable combo when its come to healing.

Played Time on your character (and how much of that at level 80): 60 Days

Professions and level of professions: Enchanting and Tailoring - Bog standard level to attain both perks from both.

Do you have a stable internet connection (Yes/No and average MS in raids): I haven't DC'd in months and its sort of a once in a blue moon occasion. 40-50ms usually, though i've had some issues recently of it rising to around 300 at times. Where some players can play at 300ms i really do notice the difference, currently in talk with BT to solve the issue.

What other characters do you have?

This is my third Holy Priest all of which are currently at level 80 - i also have a Dwarf Warrior knocking around on Neptulon.

Raid times and Experience

We raid 7 days a week, days and times could possibly change in the future, please delete yes or no below depending on whether you would be able to attend or not. (server times)
Monday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Tuesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Wednesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Thursday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Friday 19:30-xx:xx No
Saturday 19:30-xx:xx - No
Sunday 19:30-23:00 - Yes

I rarely raid on the weekend and prefer to spend time with my family and friends - if however i am needed for a progression raid i can probably make a Saturday evening.

Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?

I've been raiding from the very outset of WoW, having been in a guild coming over from Everquest is was an easy transition. During vanilla, i completed all content up until Naxx where i managed to kill the first 5-6 bosses. TBC i had the pleasure of seeing all content in every state, also managing to get a world 30 kill on Illidan Stormrage. During SWP i was also in the minority that actually killed Muru and KJ before the nerf hammer hit.

What raiding experience do you have in WotLK? Please include which bosses you've done on heroic mode.

Completed everything up to ICC and am currently at 9/12 Heroic ICC25 and 6/12 Heroic ICC10.

Character specific questions

Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve them in the future, meaning which stats do you prioritize and why.

Holy Priest gear is pretty straight forward in all honesty - our prio stats are INT-SP-HASTE, as gear improves and base stats make up for alot of intellect, we can transfer our empahsis to haste. At this moment in time i'm pretty happy with my setup and feel as it's extremley balanced. In terms of improving my itemisation it would literally be upgrades on certain items - however i'm confident i could heal 11/12 heroic with zero problems with my current gear.

Comment on how you've chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants.

I've always been a fan of taking set bonuses up to a certain point, however recently due to have too many blue sockets i've decided to switch them for haste or intellect. All choices are pretty much self explantory. In regards to enchants every is also straight forward, only thing you could maybe argue is the cloak enchant.

What glyphs are you using and why?

Glyph of COH - Self explanatory, always using COH on my blind rotation, just makes sense.

Glyph of Renew- Interchanges between that and GS glyph depending on the fight.

Glyph of POH - Some may well argue POH glyph isnt really needed, but i like to try to incorparate it when i can for the HOT it provides.

Could you point out the strong points and focus of your spec?

* 14/57/0 - My specc

My specc is now pretty standardised in terms of the majority - i have enjoyed playing around with my specc in the past in terms of increasing HPS and the introduction and removal of TOF.

The specc for a Holy Priest has changed slighlty as well as our actual stlye of healing - we as a class, flourished in Ulduar as the burst-lul-burst mechanics of a lot of fights suited our serendipity stacking stlye of play. During Totgc there was a mixture of burst-lul and the introduction of sustained over three second fights.

Now in ICC every fight is SO3S mechanics and we have moved into a more HOT orientated style of play, coupled with damage reduction talents. Spell warding and BR are now very much useful talents for us.

Emp/Imp healing are no longer really needed

Body and Soul - I've chosen to bypass this talent, i never use shields on a target anymore, and the talent is more of an "oh shit" button than anything to benefit the raid.

Desperate Prayer - I've also bypassed this talent, due to the fact it never really gets used and i'd rather have the option to max out renew and emp renew, rather than half arse the specc.

Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experienced/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs?

I play DISC PVE and PVP (ignore the arena teams) i've done quite a lot of as Disc, healing LK25 as such and attaining 29th in the world at the time. I dont have gear as such, but if it became a more permanent arrangement i can a different gem setup to be more fruitful.

We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one? Yes

General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?

PVE wise, I started off with a Warrior on Magtheridon in a guild called Uden-lo, the guild was mainly made up of raiders from Everquest and such like so it went onto to be a reasonably successful raiding guild, clearing MC and BWL. This however was only the start off a much bigger guild that moved over to Eonar EU when it opened in March. The guild went on to be called The Logical Cube and still exists to this day. We had server firsts on Brood lord all the way up to C'thun and 5 bosses in naxx.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmYlMfUA-2c

When TBC hit i left TLC and went back to Magtheridon where i was accepted and joined my Brother and friend in Eyeballers WoW (Top 30 WW TBC). I joined with my newly levelled Blood Elf Priestess and had the absolute pleasure of seeing everything up to Illidan with this guild. This is where i really became the player i am today, the skill and dedication of the players in-turn forced me to better myself and basically push myself to be the best i can. Illidan was downed all the way back in October and Sunwell wasn't even on the horizon - with a burning passion to raid i decided to depart and create my own project..

Coming back to the game in January i was pretty much stuck for a guild, so i initiated a re-roll project, i advertised on the recruitment forums for the best of the best, i wanted players that still had that burning passion for the game and wanted to create a community to hit WOTLK with pure force and hopefully become a guild to rival my experience in Eyeballers.

Cold Logic was thee most successful re-roll guild that Europe saw last year, we were a mixture of hardcore players from some of the best guilds in the world looking for a new start before WOTLK. We went onto down Illidan within 3 and a half months of raiding and had Kalecgos down in four. My time here was probably the most enjoyable experience i've had in gaming, but after 13 months of raid leading, managing the guild, and basically shouting at people ALOT, i felt i had alienated myself from the community, and really lost sight of why i was playing the game. I needed a change and moved to join an IRL friend and ex guildy of mine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A5Lg8yji3A

Reign was the number one Horde guild on Quel’thalas and was a well organised outfit, and had the pleasure of finishing TBC in the company of some top notch raiders, downing Muru and KJ before the almighty nerf hammer hit.

WOTLK arrived, we all rejoiced for five minutes, then got back to some serious WoWage. I moved to Doomhammer shortly after to join Inevitable (Third in the world to complete Champion of Ulduar)and who held the number one DPS record in Europe (On Patchwerk). The guild were extremely motivated and a very well organised outfit, and i very much enjoyed my time playing with them, however i changed job and couldn't make their raid times/invites and decided to move where i could continue on the same level but be able to contribute as much as i would like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewx0Evih2hk

I moved with another guildy to another worldwide guild in the shape of Alius Orbis (126WW on Yogg-Saron). These guys were very good but EXTREMELY racist and child like in there manner, i am far to old to listen to 14 year old boys screaming down vent during a raid, however good you are, its not acceptable.

This experience pretty much halted my WoW experience and stopped playing for a number of months - this is where i got caught up in the whole Aion buzz, i bought my CE package and started participating in the closed and open beta's and then going on to Headstart and beyond.

I was playing a 43 cleric in one of the top PVP guilds in Europe, we were the first on the English servers to capture a fortress and haven't currently lost control over it. The game however seems to hold little purpose, where i enjoy RVR and mass PVP there is little to no skill, apart from maybe tactics and i can't forsee myself being held by fortress raids everynight and by tank and spank PVE.

Coming back to the game i joined The Project who were a transfer guild made up of Inner Sanctum and ex Method, the guild was extremely competitive and an highly skilled enviroment, with the goal to make top 30 in the world come ICC heroic. I'm not sure if it's because it's Alliance or what, but there were alot of idiots in the guild and the leadership were very poor in PR and just couldn't shy away from the "haters" which involed them in about 20 pages of the biggest flame fest in history, after three days of them waring on the forums, they asked people to move servers. I am not prepared to play 15 pound to pay for their mistakes as managment.

I moved to Azuremyst to play with RL friends and joined Fear Nothing, i've played with them since the outset and have been on all server firsts - i however recently had a month away from the game and decided not to return and to look to leave the server for a new start elsewhere

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?

As a holy priest my role is that of a raid healer -our strength is that we really are thee most versatile healer and one which used to take skill in playing, its a shame to say it, but when you look at the standard HP rotation its heartbreaking. However much i love playing priests, i hate the fact i have to use the word rotation, as it never has been the case and never should be.

What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?

I dont think there is too much fundamentally wrong with Holy Priests, and more to do with the current encounters. However if i had one chance to change anything, it would probably be removing the CD on COH - yeah i know it was OP but TBC held alot of fun memories.

What do you think you can add to Eternals?

I'm a mature dedicated individual with a tencious attitude with the desire to progress.

What do you think Eternals can do for you?

Hopefully provide a good home in which i can progress and see the end of the expansion with.

Do you know anyone from Eternals who might have something nice to say about you?

I don't think so.

Personal infomation; Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?

My name is David/Dave and i'm 29 years old living in South London. I live with my wife and two year old daughter who mean the absolute world to me. I work as a management accountant for one the richest entities in the world and to be honest it bores the living shit out of me, but it pays ze bills.

When i'm not staring a health bars, you can find me dragging my old arse around the football field or down at Selhurst park supporting the almighty Palace - of course i love spending time with my family and friends and socialising in general.

Hmmm - over a five year period of raiding and alot of changes in my life with work and having a child, i've needed to change guilds due to certain circumstances. As you can read in the "Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?" i haven't left a guild for anything less than necessity or to improve my standard or enjoyment of the game.

I play the game to enjoy myself at the end of the day, i'm not going to stay with a guild that i can't give 100% to or don't feel compatable with.
