WoW, i'm hungry!
Even the most hardcore raiders get it sometimes.. that nagging feeling in your stomach, telling you you've been pro noliving a bit too long and you need some food! But, you don't want to go /afk for too long, now do you? So you order pizza, or make yourself a peanutbutter sandwich, or get chinese take-out. It does get a bit boring after a while...
Well, here's the solution!
A thread where we can share our not-too-much-time-consuming-but-at-the-same-time-tasty recipes. ^^
I'll start it off with a few of my favorites. Bon apetite!
Green Ratatouille, served with Rice and Pork Filet.
What you'll need:
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 large courgette (zucchini?) cut in small cubes
- 1 small onion, cut fine
- 1 clove of garlic, sliced very thin
- 2 stalks of celery, sliced (not very thin this time ;p)
- 1 green pepper (paprika? however you call it), cut in small cubes
- 1 teaspoon of fine cut (fresh) thyme leaves
- 2 Pork Filets, not too thick tyvm o.O
- a small lump of butter
- rice (for 2 persons, go for 2 coffee mugs of uncooked rice.. 3 if you're really really hungry, i s'pose)
Okay, got mum/gf/bf/ym to do the shopping, so now i got the ingredients, what do i do now?!?
- Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees (yes, Celcius ofcourse )
- Put a pan with water on, to cook your rice in in a little bit.
- put 1 tablespoon of the oil in a frying pan on medium - high fire and once the oil is hot, fry the courgettes in it for 5-6 mins (till they're starting to get a bit of tan )
- shove the courgettes now in an oven dish (just toss them in really, no need to get another spoon dirty for that)
- add the other tablespoon of olive oil to the frying pan and fry the onion, garlic, celery and pepper/paprika for 6-7 mins.
- also toss these in the oven dish, sprinkle the thyme over it along with a little bit of salt and pepper
- cover the dish with aluminium foil and put it in the oven for the next 25-30 mins.
- while the dish is in the oven, your water for the rice is definately boiling by now, so add a bit of salt to the water and pour the mugs of rice in.. it'll need to cook for about 8 minutes.
- after the 8 minutes, drain the water and let the rice rest, with the lit on the pan, off the fire!
- for the pork filet, spice it with whatever herbs/spices you like, i prefer an oriental spice mix, but just some salt, pepper and garlic will do fine too.
- melt the lump of butter in the frying pan you used for the veggies (save yourself things to wash up whenever possible!) and fry the pork filets in ~15 minutes till they're nicely done and brown on both sides.
You've done it! Get the dish out of the oven, divide everything over 2 plates (or not, if you're hungry/greedy ) and have a nice meal.

Ham & Salad Pita
What you'll need:
- 2 pita bread (flatbread?)
- 1 piece of ham (not the sliced stuff you put on your bread o.O)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of chili paste
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (or 1 clove of fresh garlic, cut very fine)
- 1 teaspoon of paprika powder
- 1 (small) tablespoon of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of sweet mayonaise (SWEET! ok? :p)
- ca. 200 gram of mixed salade (most supermarkets got a variety of mixed lettuce, just take what looks appealing to you)
Great, i washed my hands and am starving so let's start already!
- mix the olive oil, chili paste, garlic powder, paprika powder and brown sugar together, put it in a small plastic bag (used for food) and put the piece of ham in it aswell
- put it away in the fridge for the flavours to get in the meat, that's about an hour, so you got time now for the daily heroic
- pre-heat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius
- put your ham in an oven dish (take off that plastic, silly o.O) and cover it up with aluminium foil
- bake it in the oven for 30 mins, then remove the aluminium foil and put it back in the oven for another 30 mins. ("afk for bio" + "brb guys, phone" will do fine here)
- slice the 2 pita bread open, remove the ham from the oven and instead put the bread in, for a minute or 2
- spread some sweet mayonaise on your pita's, slice the ham into thick slices and put it on the bread, now add the salad and enjoy your meal.

Had a few more really nice recipes to share (takes longer to type it all in here than to actually make them), but won't bother. :/

Re: WoW, i'm hungry!
Ritual of Refreshment
Requires: Three players, including a Mage.
Preparation: For this, you will need at least two Arcane Powder, but five is preferable.
How To:
Yell at the mage on Ventrilo or in Raid chat to get off their ass and summon a table. Again. For the third time that raid night. Even though another mage just summoned one like, just before the trash pull, and you missed it.
When the mage starts the summoning, have two players click the portal to complete it.
For dessert:
Bug the mage right after, for another table.
