My personal experience is that combination of self shield, shadow fiend and HoH is overpowered. When you count in replenishment ticks...

I find personally that allowing your mana to drop low enough for the full benefit to Fiend of having hymn rolling means youve waiting so long to fiend that youre losing out on mana anyway. In the longer fights you can pop a fend at around 65% mana to top up to full and have it back again in execute phase. As for hymn, best for phase changes and times where damage is lower than it is normally. :>

I agree. I guess this article is more usefull for non priests, classes who benefit from increased manapool and can chain this efect with their own abilities like Evocation.

If we talk about HoH and fiend in "selfish" terms then I agree with using fiend during heavy fight around 65% of priests mana keeping HoH for transition phase when you are really low while waiting for fiend CD.

But most of the time I use my HoH to replenish mana to ressurected people or people who ask for innervate - so I thought it would be good to explain to them how they can maximize mana gain from it when its poped :-)
