New rogue project

Hi All,
I am going to start a new rogue today to mess around on. I wont have much to do on my DK whilst waiitng around for alt runs etc. I have a full set of heirlooms for a rogue which should make it easy.

2 x daggers with +15 agi.
Shoulders
Chest
2 x Haste trinkets

My plan is to go 18 points in combat and then into assassination. I will then respec when mutilate is available. I will then get the 18 points in combat again and finish the assassin tree.

Does this sound like a viable idea?

Think deep combat is a better for leveling

Combat is the most easy to lvl in, if u seek more of a challenge id suggest Assassination

I am a bit of a sadist when it comes to levelling. Ialways like to level in the spec that i intend to play end game.

My Pally has always been holy, i levelled as holy from level 1. It certianly helped from 70-80 having tyrex running alongside.

My DK Levelled as a Tank. But with a DK it does not really matter, you could just as easily level one naked.

With Mutilate available from any position now it should make it a bit better that the old 60-70 Mutilate.

In that case go for Assassination then if ur planning that to be ur endgame spec (atm its the best raiding spec for rogues with the new patch jst coming out) ofc put some points in each tree to get the maxx out but mainly focus on the Assassination tree, in my Application i have made to this guild i have explained every tree, tier and choises and in that tier and explained why ive chosen those, maybe it can help u out?

I doubt i will ever raid on it, at least at this point, but i do like to have a second char to mess around on. It saves me from getting bored.

Must be our age Reese - I leveled my pala as prot the whole way - rogue as combat - my DK will be a tank and my drood was resto - makes it hard but at least you learn how to play the right way !

did holy 1-70,
and survival (which was aweful) 1-80 too!

caved on trying to level to 80 as holy though, 3.0 ret was just far too rediculous to ntot ae dvanatage of with a sunwell weapon!

I made level 10 last night in no time. Blizz have made things even easier now. Loads of mobs that were red are now yellow (non hostile) at low levels. You can walk up behind them and one backstab, with these daggers, kills them. Even stealth speed is a single rank at 70% now.

Yeh its getting quite annoying how blizz is nerfing everything.. i remember we used to work hard for a few lvls, now any idiot can do it and get to 60 very easy.. very fkkn annoying imo, back when i lvl'd my first char we needed someting like a million XP to 60 or 70, i think its only half or something now.. same with the mounts, my first char got a slow one on 40, now u get a fast one on 40..... very very frustrating if u ask me!

True. I rememebr working for weeks to get the 1000g for my epic paladin mount. Yes we got if "Free" from a quest but the mats needed for the quest were insane. Pristine Black Diamonds were 500g on the AH at the time. 10 or so Arcanite bars at 35G each.

so is 2 daggers better than 1 dagger and 1 sword BOA?

If he is going for Assassination Muti spec in the end then yes

I leveled as subtlety Stack agility in your gear and you can 1shot mobs before they touch you at pretty much any lvl 20-70
