Bergthor (80 Warrior). At the moment I am specced Fury and have a tank set as well which is mostly 10 man Naxx stuff. This is purely a mess around character which I have been gearing up whilst waiting for Ulduar. This was my main before WotLK. Played time 50 days.

Eatmorepies (69 Death Knight) - Alchemist and Herbalist for making pots and gathering herbs for inscription on my Druid.

Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?
I started playing about 9 months before WotLK was released and my main was my Warrior which was Protection Spec. I cleared Kara, Grull, Maggy, ZA, 2/4 TK, 3/6 SSC, 2/6 MH all pre lol patch.

WotLK raiding experience:
I have cleared all 25 man content up to and including Sarth 2D. Made good progress on the 3D fight but with the way the guild has gone now, I can't see Mercians downing this.

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?
Mercians. A lot of key players recently left and the guild is falling apart. Had an awesome time in there, its the only guild I have ever been in. It was great to build up from nothing to raiding end game but I now feel that we've reached the end of the road. I feel Mercians will always be a "feeder" guild and will keep losing key players and never reach the real end game raiding.

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
HoTs, HoTs, HoTs!
I am not a Druid who has abandoned HoTs in favour of using direct heals (Nourish, Healing Touch). I know to play to my classes strengths which are obviously HoTs. I am in a raid to keep tanks topped off with HoTs and to provide good group heals. My spec shows this as I leave out the talents and glyphs which enhance direct heals such as Naturalist. At the moment I am tank spec. I am going to respec tomorrow and put on my Resto gear, but its getting pretty late to do so now

I am using the following Glyphs:
Glyph of Swiftmend - No brainer. Swiftmend without consuming the HoT. Imba glyph which all druids should have.
Glyph of Lifebloom - Excellent for keeping rolling lifeblooms on multiple targets
Glyph of Regrowth - At the moment I use Regrowth as my main direct heal. There is usually a Regrowth on the tanks so this will always come in use.

I have very good tanking gear on this character as well. In Ulduar this will be my offspec.

What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?
Nothing! <3 my Drood

What do you think you can add to Eternals?
A dedicated, mature raider who is a very competent player. I know I rerolled for WotLK but I feel I know my class inside out (Elitist Jerks is my Skiving website at work). I take time to always read up on fights/watch videos and grasp tactics quickly. Most importantly, I can stay out of the fire

What do you think Eternals can do for you?
I feel I can grow as a player in Eternals. There will be parts of my class I don't know but I am open to critism and adaptable to change. ( I will have to be with the changes to Lifebloom in 3.1) Mercians was always going to be just off end game raiding and obviously Eternals can offer me this as well.

Tom, 25, Manchester. Oldham Athletic season ticket holder (for my sins). There may be the odd weeknight football match which means I can't play but they are few and far between. I work as an Insurance Pricing Analyst 9-5 so no problem raiding with any of the times mentioned.

3 Questions one of which is because i cant seem armoury in work.

What are your gems like have you stacked a stat or you have a mixture, and also whats your thoughts on gemming in 3.1.

I've tried to gem to get the socket bonuses where its appropriate, using Spirit, Spell Power gems where possible whilst maintaining a good balance of Spell Power and Spirit. For yellow sockets I have used Spell Power / Intellect gem to get the bonus. I have good mana regen unbuffed, around 325 while casting and around 2100 bonus healing with my spell power trinket fully stacked and in tree form. If anything I think I might need to replace some of my +16 spirit gems with +8 Spirit / +8 Spell Power as my mana regen is very high. If I have to use innervate I get full mana with time to spare on the buff.

As for post 3.1, with the nerfs to spirit based regeneration from what I have read on the PTR forums, Intellect and Spellpower may be the way to go due to the MP5 gained from more Intellect. I intend to properly read up on this before deciding on spec and stat prioirities.

I am not a clicker. I am a bit of an add-on and macro whore if truth be told and have customised my Interface to the max. I have set up Pitbull as my raid frames, this only tracks my HoTs and Buffs and alerts me for Curses and Poisons I have a Lifebloom bar set up on top of each frame which is a really nice visual way of tracking it. I use Mouseover macros and have them keybound as follows:

Remove Curse [F1], Abolish Poison [F2], Swiftmend [F3], Nature's Swiftness + Healing Touch [F4]
Lifebloom [1], Regrowth [2], Rejuvenation [3] , Nourish [4] & Wild Growth [5]

I find this works best for me as all my main abilities are in one place as well as being able to move my char round with W,A,S & D.

Hi, really nice application and you do know your stuff... however your gem choices do let you down a little, as gemming for pure +SP will get the best from resto druids. Aiming to meet the socket bonus is actually not worth it. I wouldnt bother to change the gems now tho as you rightly said gemming could be alot different in 3.1 patch.

If we do need another resto druid i would say a trial will do no harm

Cheers for the gem advice. I guess HoTs only benifit from Spell Power so thats the reasoning behind gemming SP all the way. Like you say, It will be all change by the time Ulduar comes out but I have a stockpile of Rubys so I'll give it a go

Idd, for as far as I've read the spirit on our gear provides us enough to keep us up. Around 1000 spirit unbuffed should do the job, all the rest could/should be gemmed for SP.
