Character specific questions

Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve them in the future, meaning which stats do you prioritize and why.
-I've builded my gear at icc10hc and icc25 and 25hc. and watched the most best gear for moonkin. Enchants with this spec is mostly the usual, like you'll see on most caster dps. For Gems Runed Cardinals are mostly the stronger choices, unless you can pick up a 5sp Bonus minimum for yellows, in which case you'd go for either Potent or Reckless Ametrines. I'm currently floating around the crit soft cap, while gemmed with crit/sp in yellows, which makes it kinda hard to correctly value crit versus haste. If I would get my hands on more Heroic25 gear I'd move into Haste/SP though.

Comment on how you've chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants.
- answered that allready Smile up there...

What glyphs are you using and why?
- Glyphs I use Majors: Moonfire, Starfire, Starfall. this is generally considered the best setup. Plus it gives you the miss debuff with IS.
Minors: Thorns, Unburdened Rebirth, water speed, well that is just for fun swimming. r
Could you point out the strong points and focus of your spec?

Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experienced/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs?
- nope not yet but going to make helaer offspec in the future.

We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one?
- i have alchemy 450 and all recipes what available Smile

General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?
kingslayers- leaved because there started to be too many leaders and progress stopped.
pewpew- raided with pewpew at naxxramas and started icc but then it shattered and ppl left

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
- high dps and lots of battleressing in raids if needed.

What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?
- really nothing, i' like moonkins Smile

What do you think you can add to Eternals?
- skillful raiding and no whining about anything

What do you think Eternals can do for you?
- progress and fun at raids
Do you know anyone from Eternals who might have something nice to say about you?
- hmm... dont think so....

Personal infomation; Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?
-name: Mike
-age: 27
-europe--> Finland
-interests/hobbies: jujutsu, travelling, hiking
-job: Surgerynurse

Additional information which you would like to name?
- well, if you are still reading this post. thank you and maybe we'll see you at raids

Should switch the gem in ur wep to a purified dreadstone (12sp - 10spirit) so you can change your meta to a chaotic skyflare diamond (21crit - 3% critical damage). Would increase ur dps quite a bit. Also you have the gems in your boots the wrong way round, im guessing you already know this thou.

Hi, couple of questions about your spec.

I see you have chosen to have 2 points in dreamstate, giving you mana equal to 7% of your intellect every 5 seconds and also you have 2 points in gale winds.

Do you not think there are better places to place the 2 points from dreamstate and 1 point from gale winds to increase your dps? What are your thoughts on this please?

Do you know what the hit cap is for Boomkins? You are way, way, way over the hit cap yet you are wearing a hit trinket, which is currently the 28th best trinket for moonkins. There are so many better trinkets available that would significantly increase your dps. What trinkets do you think you could get that are easily obtainable now that would again increase your single target dps. (it may lower your GS though) I bet when you pop the 'use' on that trinket during AOE with hurricane and starfall you would do amazing dps for AOE - but do you think that would be the best option for boss fights?

As already stated you have the wrong meta gem - or are you finding mana a problem?

I noticed you said you would change nothing about moonkins as you love them. I also love them but would change several areas, some of which are being addressed for Cat. Do you not find movement an issue during solar and lunar eclipses?

Finally, what is your rotation? There is currently much debate and discussion on key forums about the 'best' rotation and I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this and which of them you feel is best for you and your play style.

Well, my talents are now mixed pvp and pve. I'll change them usuaylly before raids. and for that hit rating i know i'm very well overcapped Very Happy i'm just waiting to get that haste trinket from rotface25 or phylactery of nameless lich for changing that trinket away. I don't find movement an issue during eclipses.
rotation FF->Moonfire->Wrath until Lunar Eclipse->Starfire until Eclipse ends->IS->Starfire until Solar Eclipse->Wrath until it ends and start over. However, if needed I'll reapply IS after every eclipse to apply the hit-debuff - unless it's provided by someone else

I think what Potions was implying was that you can get a trinket now that would increase your DPS and be a better trinket to have, do you know what trinket he is talking about?
Also you didnt answer his question about your Meta gem....

And as for your spec (i cant comment on it as im not a boomkin) i think it would be good for people to see the spec you use for raiding, so that they can see if it is the correct spec, so it might be worth respeccing so that they can look at it or perhaps doing one on the wow-head profiler and posting the link, just a suggestion Smile

This is along a similar line to what sanbo said, you've said you would like the trinkets from sindragosa and rotface, however you have to consider that you are applying to guild which is only killing these bosses on heroic now. as such, the trinkets are BiS and all the casters want them. if you were to join us, you would not be able to loot them for quite a while due to epgp priority. What could you do, away from guild ICC runs to get trinkets that will improve your damage/dps?

No one is saying your dps isn't good, but there is other trinkets you could use to get more dps, what's the point in having hit rating when your over hit cap it's just a wasted stat?

Also you didn't address the other issues first mentioned in potions post then mentioned in mine.

As I haven't raided in Kingslayers it is hard to judge your dps - I am not questioning that is was the best in your last guild.

This guild is all about progress and not gear, therefore we all have to get the best out of our toons now rather than waiting for loot anyway, so having the best gear avaialble is crucial. Officers check all guild members for this. You have 2 trinkets available to you now which would increase your dps, rather than waiting for the drops.

Is there any way you could link some WOL so we can see what your dps is/was on boss fights. Knowing the powers of the boomkin, I will agree with you that your dps will be amazing overall through a run because of the massive AOE advantage you have with your spec, trinket for that. Would like to see your single target dps as this is what we need for fights like heroic LK. This will also enable us to compare your dps with our dps in our guild. If you have no logs, i would be happy to run some heroics with you to get a flavour.

DPS isn't the most important thing anyway and you stated that you are a good raider and listen well and never moan - these are huge ticks for raiding Knowing fights etc are more important also as a dead boomkin with great dps will not have anything over a living toon with average dps.

At the end of the day, I am only asking and trying to help. The decisions are not mine and are the officers, I was just asking from one moonkin to another Also, I am not a perfect player of the class either and have my faults and weaknesses (damn shouldn't have said that may get g kicked now!)

Hey,

I'm very sorry for late response, I have been away this week. I would like to thank you for applying but we do not have a space for another boomkin at the moment.

Thank you for your time,
