Strategy guide:

http://www.stratfu.com/strats/festergut/festergut-v2-0-ptr

And best movie from those I find:

http://www.stratfu.com/videos/cuties-only-festergut-ptr-10-man

Summary: Tank and spank fight where only thing beside dps race you need to do is to be spread 10 yards away of everybody else and once for some time run at people who got spore debuff, wait for it going off and spread again.

Update for Heroic Mode:

Video: This video shows a pretty good positioning for Festergut heroic, with the ranged divided into 2 groups, and the boss tanked opposite of where Putricide stands, to give melee enough time to react when a Malleable Goo is going their way.

An appropriately geared raid for the heroic version of this encounter will have spent time gathering equipment in the normal version of the raid zone. The majority of raid members should be wearing gear of item level 264+ to attempt the 25 man heroic encounter, or 251+ for the 10 man heroic encounter. This is because, once the instance is set to heroic mode, Festergut's HP will be higher and all his abilities will hit harder than their 10 or 25 man normal mode counterparts, as is the case with every heroic mode boss in the instance. The added health is very significant in this encounter specifically, because Festergut's berserk timer remains set at 5 minutes. Without enough high-level gear, even a flawlessly executed attempt won't see the boss die before he uses his Berserk and wipes your raid. (as the zone-wide Strength of Wrynn buff grows stronger, the gear requirement becomes less strict)

Positioning: While we're used to tanking Festergut pretty much where he stands on normal mode, it's not ideal at all for heroic mode. Move Festergut closer to the wall, opposite of where Putricide stands on his balcony, and have ranged spread left and right of this position. And while Bosskillers' guide suggests all healers standing with melee, i'd advise against that, as it would also mean all healers having to move at once when a Malleable Goo is heading to the melee group.

In addition to the increase in Festergut's HP and ability damage, there is also a new ability introduced in this encounter's heroic mode, which will require your raiders to periodically shift their positioning. This ability doesn't come from Festergut, but instead from Professor Putricide. Once Festergut is engaged in combat on heroic mode, and continuing throughout the entire encounter, Professor Putricide will stand up in his balcony overlooking Festergut's room and periodically throw a single Malleable Goo at a random raid member. This Malleable Goo is mechanically the same as the ones Professor Putricide uses during his own encounter; however it has an added visual component. When Professor Putricide throws this version, a green circular animation appears under the feet of the targeted raider, making it easier to see where the goo bomb will land and explode. As long as that player shifts a few yards (~10 or so) away from the green circle when it appears on the floor, the Malleable Goo doesn't do any harm. If it was a ranged player that was targeted, other ranged players near them will need to adjust their positioning as well, to make sure everyone stays spread apart for Vile Gas casts. If it was a melee player that was targeted, then all of the other melee will likely need to adjust as well, shifting to one side or the other so they are safe from the goo explosion.

As a reminder: getting hit by the goo not only causes you to take a good amount of damage, it'll also increase cast time by alot, creating healing problems and causing the raid dps to drop significantly, increasing the difficulty of getting a kill before the enrage timer!
