Re: Faction Champions - interesting article about their aggro mechanics
If this is correct then I only see one helpful there (others might see more) that having the hunters have their pets on one of the champs pets would make the healers more inclinced to heal the pet than our target which of course would be a huge benefit, I would like to test that.
All the other stuff is like, ye thanks for the info, thanks for telling me warlocks are most likely to die first but I already knew!

Did you also read through the responses, Rigs? Page 2 has a nice one regarding a tanking strategy, with a tank being kept at 50% hp, and the nuke target is being death gripped away from the rest by a dk. According to the threat rules (which seem accurate enough) it would mean next to no need for cc, maybe some healers interrupted.

I don't think keeping a tank at 50% while all dps target him will be as easy as it sounds written down ^^
I'm not saying it is beyond a stretch to do, just that our method is tried and tested and proven with a 1 shot this week and previous weeks hardly any wipes

I've known about the pet thing for a long time now, just not wanting to abuse a bug to kill it

How is it a bug? In arena do you not used to attack the pets because they had no resilience and would either die and help ur fight be easier or eat the healers mana? We are basically forcing their healer to chose between healing a pet or a player.
Re: Faction Champions - interesting article about their aggro mechanics
Yeah but it works like this, they always focus heals on the pet, no matter if the priest were dps'ing is at 30% and the pet at 95%, their priority will be to get the pet up first, then the dps'd target.
On a boss fight I would say that was a bug since the pets are a minor part of their combined health/damage output

Re: Faction Champions - interesting article about their aggro mechanics
Well no because it would be SOOOOOO easy to make players > pets when it came to heals. Blizzard clearly intended it that way, therefore not a bug. And its far from a bug as if you didn't do the other things like interupt healers and CC them then it wouldn't work either. So all you are doing is forcing the healer in to healing something else so that when it heals what you dont want it to, you interupt and CC and prevent that.
Re: Faction Champions - interesting article about their aggro mechanics
Heals go to highest health deficit.. dunno how you make out of that that the pet would get heals if it's on 95% when the nuke target is at 30%? It's not a bug, not an exploit, just a matter of using the knowledge about how the fight is set up to work.

Subeam u need to read the other posts, tut tut and after u telling me off!
It goes to the target on the lowest actual health, pets have lower health pool, so the % doesn't matter its their HP against the other targets
