Characters name: Zax
Class: Priest, Dual Speced, Main spec Holy, off spec shadow (no descent hit rating).
Race: Human (Human spirit used to rock still kinda good)
Armory link: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Ghostlands&n=Zax

UI Screenshot: not linked as i dont have any thing special about my UI

General information:
Played Time on your character: 229 days, 18 days at level 80
Profesions and level of professions: Enchanting Max level, I take professional pride in this profession and i try to have all enchants in game, Inscription Max Level, I have 1 or 2 rare inscriptions.
Do you have a stable internet connection: Stable for most part, currently 300ms, which is better than the old one i had up to quite recently of 1000ms :O, currently in process of getting 10Mb connection so should have very low ms soon. My computer is imba i play with everything on max setting.

What other characters do you have?
Paladin, lvl 80 Dual speced, Protadin/retribution, Engineer and Miner, played time 48 days, 14 days at level 80.
Hunter, lvl 80, BM, not a very serious char, he's a male Nelf after all lol, Leather worker and Jewel crafter
Mage, lvl 65 and rising, arcane spec, Herbalist and alchemist
Priest, lvl 19, holy, bank char/twink

Raid times and Experience:

We raid 7 days a week, days and times could possibly change in the future, please delete yes or no below depending on whether you would be able to attend or not. (server times)
Monday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Tuesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Wednesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Thursday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Friday 19:30-02:00 - Yes
Saturday 19:30-xx:xx - No
Sunday 19:30-23:00 - No

Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?
Yes, I have experience of organising raid healing assignment from Kara to BT.

Character specific questions:

Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve then in the future.
Currently stacking intellect, spirit, crit, and a touch of haste, Intell for more crit, mana and mana regen (replenishment), spirit for mana regen and healing bonus and crit for holy concentration and surge of light procs.

Comment on how you've chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants.
I socket for intell and spirit mainly, occasional spell power creeps in so i can get socket bonus, and 2H spell power enchant as i believe its best 2h weapon enchant for healer.

What glyphs are you using and why?
Minor Glyphs; Glyph of Levitate (no need for reagents), Glyph of Shadowfiend (returns mana when fiend is killed, which can happen when there is no avoiding aoe Neutral), Glyph of Shadow protection (extends the duration of buff)
Major Glyphs; Glyph of Circle of healing (increases targets healed by 1, thus more healing and more chance to crit = greater chance of surge of light proc), Glyph of guardian spirit (in my experience guardian spirit has mainly served to buff healing and rarely, although there have been some occasions, has its charge been spent by death. This glyph reduces cooldown of GS when its charge is not spent. Glyph of Prayer of Healing, (adds a hot to all targets effected by the spell, increased healing output)

Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experience/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs?
Gear probably not that good, I just have Welfare Teir 7. Mechanics are pretty straight forward, keep dots up and spam mindblast as soon as cooldown comes, incorporation of SW:Death into spell rotation is gear dependant, I am aware there is some debate on the issue.

We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one?
I have all crafting professions on my chars except tailoring and Blacksmithing and Zax has 2.

General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?
Holy Knights: I was Guild Master there while leveling back at the end of 2006 start of 2007, we merged with Sentinels of Lights when we reached 70 with the hope of getting some raiding going amongst us noobs at the time.
Sentinels of Light: I left in 2007, I some how ended up as Guild Master in there. I left as I found it impossible at the time to get people to raid.
KEK: Was in KEK for some time but they were to casual for me so I left.
Eternals: I was one of the founding officers of Eternals back in 2007, I quit playing and returned after WotLK had started, But i left the guild at the time as I was planning to take a more casual attitude to Raiding so I left to find a more casual guild.
Critters: Joined them as they were planning to do only 10 man raids and play very casually. Left a few weeks ago as I had found myself unable to raid due to computer and internet problems.

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
I'm the next best thing to chuck norris..... Razz
I can provide Imba healing, my gear might be relatively poor, but i have an extensive experience as playing as holy.
The holy priest is the main healing class in WOW and has 11+ healing spells. This makes the class very versatile and allow them to be both excellent tank healers and raid healers. I feel the strength of this class is in its ability to deliver immense healing output when raid takes massive aoe damage.

What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?
Hard question as I feel holy priest fullfills the role it was intended too, there will always be small issues with talents. One thing i would change/suggest is to get blizzard to (re)introduce a sleep spell that i believe was in the original content of the game.

What do you think you can add to Eternals?
What cant I add lol, seriously i think i can add a good healer to your team with too much time on his hands.

What do you think Eternals can do for you?
Well I recently broke my leg and i'm kinda house bound for the next 2 months so i think eternals will give me something to do in the evenings Smile

Personal infomation; Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?
Name Will
Age 28
Location: Ireland
Hobbies/interest: Fishing, I try get to gym now and again, I'm a big science nerd
Job/family: Job; I work 4 hrs in the morning, currently on sick leave (broken leg), Family; They may unexpectedly drop in and feck up my nights raiding.

Solid application,

but what Ronab said, spirit gems according to theorycrafters are < Int with Ulduar gear.

However, its all down to personal preference, and I think he deserves a trial Smile

Spirit gems are prob outdated... but i really haven;t progressed my gear much since the T8 content was added as you can see from my gear... I've only had a few incursions into ulduar (as far as freya). As far as I was aware Intell based replenishment gave as much mana regen as spirit did, however I should state that my knowledge of theorycraft had become somewhat outdated since ulduar was added but when i'm critting i'm getting quite good MP5 going on, I never have mana probs, can hold my own in the lack of replenishment classes which had been happening alot in pugs i had been doing recently. I may have to crunch some numbers to see how my gear would hold up in a 25 man raid and ofc if i got continueous replenishment more intell naturally seems greater than spirit.

Int/Sp really is the way to go in Ulduar. I'd gem fully Int but not a jc so need the Sp gems to keep my meta. You'd notice as you start to pick up T8 your Int is miles too low. I'm 4conq now and my mana pool is pathetic even while gemming with Int. The patch buffs the replenishment if it goes live making Int and even more important stat. So although I wouldnt regem your current gear (thats how I woulda done it in T7 too ^.^) Int is definately the way to go this current Tier.

As for your spec, was speaking about this with Ronan earlier. I noticed you took -15% mana cost on GH/Hymn over the range of you Poh/Coh and what not. My spec is basically identical almost except those two talents. I did some testing cause I was worried about my mana efficiency if I dropped the 15% reduction and its absolutely fine without it. The range on PoH/CoH can be crucial for things like Mimi so I really would reccommend you tried switching those about yourself.

Also Imo glyph of GS really isnt viable, its so situational, you can argue that its 40% more healing on the tank every min but over a longer sustained period of time I've found using PoH/CoH and Flash glyphs work wonders. The Flash Glyph is really important tbh, your PoH cast time as you will know is lowered upto 3x by your flash (while your raid healing) during hardmodes and the more 'challenging' parts of Ulduar the Flash Heals can get quite spammy to keep that PoH cast time down, and you will start to struggle with your mana from my experiences. Just a thought though Razz

Other than those which are really just a preferance thing, I'd quite like another decent Holy Priest tbf :> Getting lonely buffing all those nimwits on my own! Best of luck Smile

Edit: Dont listen to Vanity, he's Vanity.

Ye, agree, but ofc the choice is situationally dependant. In defence of my choice, its purely down to lack of 25 man raid healing since Ulduar came on line so i havn't really had the oppurtunity to determine its benefit vrs range, and factors like raid coordination play a big factor in the choice of these talents. In a dispersed raid situation a Holy priest with holy reach using PoH will probably do more more healing per mana, where as a raid thats not dispersed the opposite is true. Like CoH in TBC content the skill with using group member targeted aoe group heals is been aware of where the group members are and finding the dude in the centre, which was a skill in its self as you probably are aware of.

Anyways thanks for the gearing and speccing advice for when i do manage to gear up with T8 Smile

I tried to explain to her Zax that your CoH reached at least 27 people and had 200 yards range, but she wouldnt listen.
Anyhow, theres no point continuing this, we'll offer you a trial, whisper an officer when yer ready for an inv.
