Profesions and level of professions: Engineering 450 / Mining 450
Do you have a stable internet connection: Yes, its usually below 100 in raids

What other characters do you have? Got a warrior (71) and a shaman (72), not leveling much on them.

Raid times and Experience:

We raid 7 days a week, days and times could possibly change in the future, please delete yes or no below depending on whether you would be able to attend or not. (server times)

Tuesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Wednesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes

Friday 19:30-xx:xx - Yes, I have no restrictions on raiding times
Saturday 19:30-xx:xx - Yes, I have no restrictions on raiding times
Sunday 19:30-23:00 - Yes

Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?
I have tried almost all content both classic and TBC.

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?
Prophecy – The guild im currently in. I would like to try something new, a bit more hardcore raiding than prophecy currently offers.

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
As a hunter I can provide a high and stable damage output, I bring a few tricks to help the tank get more threat or pull a mob of a healer, should the situation require it.

As a Survival hunter I contribute with mana regeneration and currently survival is the highest damage spec for hunters.

What one thing would you change about your class if you could?
Im generally happy about my class, only thing is alot of newbie players choose the class because it is generally easy to play, which have given the class a bit of a bad reputation.

What do you think you can add to Eternals?
I am a dedicated player who does my homework before raiding. I know my class and know how to get the most out of it. I have played since release (not on this character) and have a good knowledge of many classes and other aspects of the game.

What do you think Eternals can do for you?
A serious raiding guild with focus on progress.

Personal infomation; Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?
My name is Kim, I am 23 and from Denmark. I work as an electricion. I use alot of my spare time playing computer games. I live by myself, so no one will disturb me when raiding.

Additional information which you would like to name?

hey mate. sorry for taking so long to get back to you. couple of quick points:

you look like you've put some effort into your gear. enchants and gems are up to scratch and your near the hit cap (and will be over it with a drenai in a raid Smile). Although you may want to think about agility on gloves / feet as a survival hunter, and you need to stack some more haste (522 to get steady shot to 1.5s) and crit...but that will come with improved gear. Cool

Couple of quick questions:

what major glyphs do you use and why?
what is you shot rotation and what takes priority in it?
As you gain more haste you need less points in Improved AotH (only 1 or 2 at cap)....where would you spend those points if they were freed up?

look forward to hearing from ya Very Happy

i looked at his gems and, made the decision that he has where he can without gimping socket bonuses or meta gem....then i noticed id missed the ap gem on legs affraid . yeh u want a ag gem in there mate. id suggest blowing 5k gold on jewelcrafting but hey...only complete nutters do stuff liike that...ahem /looks shifty

plus im sure there is an ag / hit gem that could replace the ap / hit gem you have on gloves Smile

The gems are basically remnants from being a beastmaster, I respecced to survival when the patch came and haven't bothered changing them yet to be honest.

The extra points would proberbly be used in Improved Stings and/or Aimed Shot.

As for glyphs I use:
Major:
Glyph of Improved Aspect of the Hawk - for increased haste
Glyph of steadt Shot - 10% more damage, talks for itself
Glyph of Serpent Sting - Dont need to renew it so often

Minor:
Glyph of Mend Pet
Glyph of Feign Death
Glyph of Revive Pet

Oh right forgot that question.
I use a pretty standard shot rotation.
ES, SS, SS, SS, repeat.
Making sure Serpent Sting is up all the time.

When Lock and Load procs, I do do ES, SS, ES, SS, ES. usually changing one SS out with Multi Shot if there is multiple targets close to each other.

Yep sounds good mate. Just a couple of things I want to mention.

Aimed shot: you say you like to use Multi instead of Steady when you have groups of mobs. This is a good thing cos steady shot is pants these days...so the less we fire it the better. You could used multi shot on single targets or bosses on every CD in place of Steady and it would still be an improvement on damage / dps.

This is why i advocate getting Aimed shot. Its perfect for bosses and has some solid advantages over multi. Its a true instant shot (multi has a 0.5s cast) which helps when on the move plus its hits harder. And using it on every CD means we dont need to fire steady as much Smile

So weave it in to your rotation:

Serpent, ES, AS, SS, SS, etc....repeating and firing off ES and AS on every CD, and keeping Serpent up as you mentioned.

Also, the reason I mention priority is that as a surv hunter you have a few CDs to watch and sometimes have more than one ability available at a time. So in order of importance you should aim to press:

- Explosive shot
- Aimed shot
- Serpent sting and Hunter's mark
- and Steady shot last

It may sound like nit picking What a Face but sticking with this idea and implementing Aimed shot has made a reasonable difference to my dps. Plus get a pet with a bleed effect attack for extra damage Twisted Evil

You sound like you've got the spec pretty much nailed down Smile

After my geared started streamlining towards pure dps stats in t6 level, and moved away from the useless crap they used to give us, I found i never had the spare maan for aimed and multi anymore, which although doing great damage in that spec, would oom me very fast. Is the increased damage worth the extended period in viper nowadays, beaker?

After switching to Survival mana has almost become a Non issue for me, even with using Aimed shot. With a couple of points in Hunting Party and maxed out Thrill of the Hunt (which gets better with moar crit!!) a hunter's mana regen is above par. If I'm ever getting low on a boss fight (very rare) I'll pop a mana pot and Viper as a last resort. Even then, with more instant shots going I seem to regen mana back to full even quicker than when I was BM Very Happy

the only time i seem to tax the ye olde mana pool is when spamming Volley on mobs. And even this happens less as its better to stick to your shot rotation on most mobs as its higher dps since the volley nerf (unless ofcourse the packs pulled start getting larger - like 5 or 6 plus - then I'll bring out the volley Twisted Evil )

Ofcourse the game mechanics are helping a lot at the moment:
- short boss fights
- Reduced mana cost on several shots means mana pools will last longer
- Mana regen is too good....blizz have said they dont want mana to be a non issue and will be fixing it soon, so that mana clases will have to focus more on conserving what they have.

So at the moment Aimed shot is perfectly viable.

Hi there, we're going to decline, but through no fault of your own. Just due to numbers in the guild we've had to close up the hunter position to accomodate other classes. Thanks for applying, and if we ever need a hunter in the future, please feel free to reaply.
