Ret paladin / fury warrior (Accepted)

Just before i start as i see you positions for warriors are closed im applying on my ret pally and intend to bring my warrior with me and play when i can if accepted. I have a good intrest in playing both and regually pvp / raid on them both although my warrior is atm classed as my main and is geared as such i would still like to be considered with my pally. Ive included both players so you clearly see im not telling lies about having a better geared player

Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?

I cleared Tbc on my mage pre swp patch ( after first muru nerf) I also cleared on warrior upto muru pre patch
We cleared all of ssc, tk , bt as server 2nds nerf nerfs

What 10 man and 25 man Ulduar bosses have you cleared and of which out of those bosses have you done on hard mode?

I cleared all ulduar hardmodes ( On warrior) around 4 months ago including algalon 25 man and am currently at 4/5 heroic totc25. I cleared 3/5 around 4 months back with a old guild. I recently got server first algalon kill on this server but as stated killed him a while back with old guild

Character specific questions:


Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve then in the future.

Well as im applying on paladin id guess id be best talking about that. Most of the gear choices was best avalible to me at the time. I know pvp gear is frowned about as a raiding choice but the cloak / weapon was best avalible to me currently as i dont raid totc25 man / 25 man ulduar on this server due to the ammount of people being unable to play the game at this level in pugs ect. Gear will be obtained by raiding higher content that im clearly unable to raid on with this player atm.


Comment on how youve chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants.

Well i know your going to pick up on my sholder enchant but this was mearly a alt i used for pvp so getting sons of hodir rep up seemed pointless as i just used to do bg's on it. If accepted i can have it up from the ah in 10 mins which im possibly going to go do now. I am aware im a bit short of expertise so aiming to put in another gem in there today but really strength is where its at for pallys imo after hit capped / expertise. Although im doing some theorycrafting with using comets trial from algalon with the insnae haste u can get from it.



What glyphs are you using and why?

Judgement / consecraition and exorcism think these are the best 3 for me and my play style although 1 glyph can be switched out for another its all about personal prefrence i suppose. I dont like to get consec run out but it can cost a decent global if it drops just as judgement comes ready so i go for improved. The other 2 glyphs are pretty obvious i suppose


Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experience/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs?

Im currently sitting on 226 t8.5 tanking gear for warrior and have a few off set bits for pally. I play protubution in arena on pally so still using my badges for totc/ heroic daily for tank block gear. I can play both specs fine on pally although im unsure on how healing would go as ive never tried but have gear for it.

We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one?

Yes that wouldnt be a problem. I recently dropped herbilism for enginnering for pvp purposes but can drop that again np if the situation arises



General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?

Basicly after my tbc guild and many months of sat around doing nothing / selling zul amen bears i joined real life friends how nagged me alot to play with them ( On my warrior again). They wasnt paticually very good and was new playing in wotlk but id rather wipe with people i like/ friends then progress with morons. We managed to become server 1st guild which wasnt a hard thing to do on this server as the player base is non existant. Upto 4 months back we lost alot of good players to guilds off server so i decided to transfer to outland and play in a guild called sinisters there with a old tbc in game friend who didnt have enough players to raid while my old guild rebuilt its player base. I was intending to stay there but the way raids was handled and some peoples attitudes towards other raiders was appauling. For example people i knew to meet and be friends with in game was often abused by other raid members for mistakes quite publicly and so on. I myself rarely make mistakes but sometimes it happens and i can take a telling off but i think there is a way to handle things and the way this was in the guild wasnt making it enjoyable for all which is what its about. The guild i was in was ranked in the top 150. Then i transfered back when we had enough to my current guild and started to progress. The progression was nice and they have recruited some exeptional players now but now its become where the guild is hated as all members do is spam trade chat all day / night with rude remarks / hate towards other races. Its come to the point where im abused by /w for standing around in dalaran. I try and defuse problems best i can by helping out other guilds in raids ( os / naxx 25) ect to try and restore some of our guilds reputation. I can understand we are hated as we are better at this time but our members including officers wont rise above all the flames / bullshit and tbh i have had enough of it.



What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?

Well as a pally i have my salvation for agrowhores and a bubble for other raid members to save them from harm. I can pop a half bubble / sword and board for emergancy tanking. I also feel we are more mobile then other classes with increased run speed / able to break stuns on ourself if specced into it



What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?

On my warrior i think its quite bad how they scale with gear. Atm im lucky to get in the top 5 on damage done on single target fights ( i know dps isnt everything but i do try and play my players to the max) but then on multi mob fights can do massive damage. On my pally any dps increase for any class is nice and i wouldnt say no but i wouldnt say ret pallys are a broken class



What do you think you can add to Eternals?

I have a large raid experience and have had raid leading / class leading roles / officer status. I learn encounters fast and am quick with my reactions. I avoid fires ( Free rage on warrior QQ) and have a positive attidude. I never quit i never give up and i try and play my best at all times. I represent myself and my guild and do nothing in the way of tarnishing reputation. I go out of my way to help others in guild or not. I often find myself wiping in pugs with people new to the game / clueless but the thanks i get for it and being able to make others enjoy the game as much as me makes it worthwhile



What do you think Eternals can do for you?

Im attracted here by the small posts on the recruitment part of the forum. The idea of not having members troll applications and make people feel bad is great. If you care to drop by my current guilds forums and check applications from 4 weeks past you will be greated by members spamming stupid pictures on apllicants applications and abuse towards people. I want a secure raid enviorment with people that enjoy to play like my being lead by people that push the guild forward as progression is where its at atm for me. I expect to find very social people that enjoy a laugh but not at the expense of other people becuase they dont know any better

Im scott hayward, 30 years old and i live in hull , england. Im currently self employed. My gf doesnt mind me raiding and thinks its better then me at the pub all night ^^. I have a 2 year old child that likes to climb on me when im raiding but hes can be put in bed.



Additional information which you would like to name?

Your going to look at my paladins gear and think :S its not great but it aint too bad either. Your getting a application from a player that knows how to raid and has sat many hours banging his head against raid bosses but ive always come through and killed them. Im not here for the short stay i want to be in a guild with decent people but without the drama / hate we get where i currently am. Im due to move house over the next weekend but my isp is usually quick to switch my connection so shouldnt be a issue. Na not me first real season in arena but i thought u had to be 2400 to be able to post anything decent. Only managed 2200+ :s. Might of made a post begining of this season in the ask a gladiator part but got face palmed with no replys so that made me read stuff instead
