General information:

Characters name: Vivid
Class: Paladin
Race: Female Dreanie (Pair of double D's)
Armory link: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Ghostlands&n=Vivid
(Might show pvp gear, full conquerers) But i have better gear than that. You can meet me in dalaran if you want to check)
UI screenshot: https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/i/uieternals.png/
Played Time on your character: 79 days, but i have more characters.
Profesions and level of professions: Max JC, started BS for the 2 extra gem slots.
Do you have a stable internet connection (Yes/No and average MS in raids): Very stable, 20mb cable - 100-150 ms in raids. Can get lower.

What other characters do you have? 80 mage, 80 warlock on the same server.

Raid times and Experience:

We raid 7 days a week, days and times could possibly change in the future, please delete yes or no below depending on whether you would be able to attend or not. (server times)
Monday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Tuesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Wednesday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Thursday 19:30-00:00 - Yes
Friday 19:30-xx:xx - Yes/No (If it was planned in advance, i can stay until any time at all)
Saturday 19:30-xx:xx - Yes/No (If it was planned in advance, i can stay until any time at all)
Sunday 19:30-23:00 - Yes

Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what? I've done upto BT, to be honest i wasn't much of a raider in TBC i pvp'd more. Until wotlk came out and i tried my luck with an end-game raiding guild "FTW", enjoyed myself and quickly become there main Holy Paladin.

What 10 man and 25 man Ulduar bosses have you cleared and of which out of those bosses have you done on hard mode? Cleared 10 man and 25 man ulduar, i was in FTW's first 10/25 man group to clear the whole of Ulduar, first team to get Glory of the raider 10 man. All hard modes on 10, all on 25 man except Mimi, Freya, General and Yogg.

Character specific questions:

Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve then in the future: I've chosen to get gear with Crit/haste, i see Crit as one my mana regens, the more crit heals i get casting the more mana i get. Haste for obvious reasons, faster heals the more succesful of a heal without overhealing or in certain situations where tanks will take more damage than other parts of the encounter, can heal alot quicker therefor healing alot more.

Comment on how youve chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants. I Gem as much Intellect as possible. Intellect is my stat that increases most stats. Intellect gives me SP, Crit and a bigger mana pool so i don't have to use devine plea as often which could possible kill a raid member due to the 50% less healing from devine plea. When i do pop devine plea, i generally pop it when i get procs from my trinket for example, my trinket gives me 300 intellect, which gives more SP/crit to compensate for the 50% less healing. Enchants, i only settle for the highest and best possible.

What glyphs are you using and why?

I used Glyph of the wisdom, it gives 5% less mana of all spells.

Glyph of the beacon of light. I chose to use this because it gives an extra 30 seconds on the beacon, the beacon cost 1.3k mana so an extra 30 secons works out to be roughtly 500 mana, over a 10 minute encounter it can save a nice amount of mana.

Glyph of the holy light, it gives 10% of the amount healed on your target to heal the closes 5 people around that target. So if you're healing a tank, generally there will be 5 or more melee with him so i heal 20k holy light on the tank, the melee can get healed for 2k each holy light.

Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experience/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs? I have some ret gear, but it's not upto raiding standards and i don't enjoy it as much as healing. I got the gear mainly for pvp if i fancy killing some rogues.

We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one? If it benefited the guild, i would do anything.

General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?

FTW, the GM and some officers transfered, therefor FTW becoming social/disbanded.

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?

I see my self as a good, competent and efficient healer. Along with heals, i'm a very good dispeller. Almost instant dispells without anybody even asking. My most recent was 25 man TOC with the pvp boss, over 200 dispells in one fight and still keeping heals upto a nice amount.

What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?

That's a tough one, i really can't think of anything.

What do you think you can add to Eternals?

I can add a confident healer, good attitude, willing to change, down to earth guy with a funny sense of humour. I take nothing seriously, unless need be.

What do you think Eternals can do for you?

Can offer me a friendly home, with fun and good times, with efficient raiding.

Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?

Personal infomation; Stefan - 21 - United Kingdom (Portsmouth) - Football, boxing, gaming, clubbing, drinking, ladies. I went college for 3 years, where a class friend got me into Wow. Finished clubbing and never really got a job, i have done part time jobs that's about it. Family don't nag me at all, i would tell them to shove it. lol

Additional information which you would like to name?

Cant comment on the gear as like you said, its pvp gear (and a MASSIVE sigh at you for playing prot in arena, holy is so much better if you play it right :p).

Talents:
Blessed hands over Improved Lay on hands?
3/3 improved concentration over some points in divinity?

Also why havnt you filled up your other 2 minor glyph slots?

You do also mention landing large heals on tanks, which raises the question, where does your beacon go? :p

Anyway, a well written application but as I said, id love to see your pve gear when possible!

Ouch, slap in the face! Why don't you kick me on the floor too lol I play my paladin in PVP for the lolz, i'm no good and generally don't like healing in arena. I'm healing a RL friend on his DK. I prefer to pvp on my mage Wink I talked to you the other day, called "behindyoulol".

I chose Blessed hands over Lay on hands because i see the imp lay on hands being used in certain encounters, for example the Council hard mode whereas the bless hands can be used in every encounter and situation. Other than that lay on hands imp or not it does it's job, gets somebody from low HP back a nice amount lol I also think with the threat dps whores, imp salvation is a nice addition. Also the imp sacrifice can't be bad, an extra 10% less damage for when the boss hits harder.

When i mentioned the large heals on the tank, i did mean that as an example for the target i heal the people around them get healed for 10% of the amount Razz

Good point about the concentration, I'm willing to change that.

Very drunk so what i say mght not make sense, but ill put ectra effort into typing! (im shit when sober thogh so dont hold out much hope!)

First off, welcome to the guild, now a few pointers
1) Blessed hands its kind og pointless, you only need the extra thret reduction on salv if your tanks suck (which they dont, so threat isnt too much of an issue) whereas imp. lay on hands i see as having a use for almost every fight. How can you not see 20% reduced tank damage as usefull?;
2) you didnt touch upon minor glyphs, go get glyph of lay on hands, means you can use it in every other attempt, rather than once per 3.
3) my gear concern was with your mention of intellect being the be all and end all of paladin stats. granted its still the 'power stat' its not the only thing you need to stack.
Fact is, if youre taking pure spellpower - haste -crit items, youll be running oom if youre having to result to full holylights. Try looking more at mp5 and less at haste. Get yourself hastte capped for flash of light and dont go any further. Grab mp5 in the place of the haste you drop. Also as int is 'less' important now due to the illumination nerf, i dont think spamming int gems really is the option (this is why i wanted to see you gear), spellpower, mp5 and int all have a similar weighting once you have a big enough mana pool, so socket bonuses with the correct gems becomes worth it.
~Your entire applications stuck me as a holy light spamming paladin, and if im honest, thats not the direction we should be taking now. Flask of light with the occasional holy light when needed will see much higher heaing returns, and much fewer mana issues.

peace out

oh and i liked that you touched upon using plea when greatness proocced, but you do that for the extra 2k mana it returns, not for the extra spellpower it gives:p

oh and, im in my pve gear on the armory (note ive taken int where possible, but never passed up on a socket bonus that was an increase to healing output! :p)

edit: ok just saw your pve gear, gems are pretty much how id do it, some gear choises are abit iffy though, you dont really have the mp5 to sustain a heroic toc25, and your spellpower is alot lower than it could portentially be, but yeah, you can afford to drop some haste ^^

Yeah i get what you mean, i'll keep it short and sweet.

If i had some recent wws file i would show, i don't spam holy light, I've got 1 second flash of light once i judge and i use it more than holy light, i understand how quickly you can go oom from holy light. I'm bit OCD, i love socket bonuses. I don't gem 20 int in every slot, i gem 20 int and 10 int / mp5.

I've got the Lay on hands glyph, taken on board what you said about the minor adjustments to spec and will respec asap.

I've got all haste/crit gear, but i have 4/5 T8.5 which has reasonable amount of mp5, i can regem it back from pvp. But the raids i've been in recently, i've not totally struggled for mana, i have about 34k mana pool raid buffed.

If you want to come meet me i'll /w when you're online Smile

edit;

Sorry just seen your 2nd post, yeah i understand. I can get the mp5 conqueror gear and regem it back for pve it's no problem.

edit;

Nerf your gear Wink
