Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?
I started playing on my first character as Naxxramas was released for the first time, i didn't manage to raid i Vanilla because i had so many other things to do IRL. I almost had a break from WoW for a year when BC first came out but just before the release of WotLK i started playing again. I didn't manage to get to level 70 before the new expansion was released.

What raiding experience do you have in WotLK? Please include which bosses you've done on heroic mode.
When WotLK was released i leveled my shaman to 55 and started playing on my DK, because of some IRL issues i first got to level 80 at the release of Ulduar were i wasn't in the largest progress guild. But my experience is as following:
Naxx10 : Cleared
Naxx25 : 8/15
Ulduar 10 : 9/14
Ulduar 25 : 3/14
ToC10 : 5/5 - ToTGC10 : 3/5
ToC25 : 5/5 - ToTGC : 0/5

Character specific questions


Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve them in the future, meaning which stats do you prioritize and why.
My current prio on stats in my frost specc is: Hit > Strength > ArP > Haste > Crit > Expertise
Not meaning that i would gem for anything else that strength, explained further under gem choices section.
I try to keep my hit above 350 with many tries on the dummy i've concluded that it was the best number to aim for, expertise wise i try to hit the cap but only from gear, and as far as i can, i try to stay above 20 expertise, currently at 25 were the cap is 26 so its good atm. I would never gem for expertise unless it gets under 20. It's a good thing to have capped because a dodge on my Plague Strike or Icy Touch can really mess up my rotation. But atm, i use Glyph of Disease meaning that i refresh my diseases with pestilence so i the expertise isn't as important. Also ArP is prioritized that high because it gives a great boost on my white hits, but its not worth gemming for to get ArP cap, strength will benefit my dps better.

Also worth mentioning i'm currently experimenting with my sigils. Im trying for figure out if Sigil of Awareness is better than Sigil of the Hanged Man and it currently seems like SoA is better.

Because of some small breaks from WoW during 3.3.x i haven't managed to get the 4 piece set bonus from my T10 which is the first things i'm going to use my Frost Emblems on.
Im also trying to get into proper groups in ToC25 to get my Death's Verdict which is better than Herumkl War Token, but tbh. the pugs on Ghostlands usually fail alot on Faction Champions, sadly...


Comment on how you've chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants.
Currently only gemming strength and using one 10 all stats to get my meta gem to work.
For enchanting the thing worth mentioning is actually only the glove and boot enchants. Yea, you guessed it its the engineer only enchants. Meaning Hyperspeed Accelerators and Nitro Boots. Nitro Boots gives more crit than the Icewalker enchant and also the speed boots you can get from it is really sweet in many encounters. The Hyperspeed Accelerators is just a great DPS boost when used together with my Unbreakable Armor and my ghoul, and i just got DBW and i'm aiming to use my CD's the first time when DBW procs for the first time in boss encounters because it benefits my raise dead really sweet, meaning a DPS increase.

What glyphs are you using and why?
Glyph of Obliterate : Who can say no to increased damage of you Obliterate when it's one of the abilities used mostly in my rotation unless KM procs like a crazy train.
Glyph of Frost Strike : Reduces the RP cost of my FS meaning more Frost Strikes, and i'm trying the best to only use FS when KM is procced but i gotta use it sometimes so i don't get RP capped which is just an DPS loss.

Glyph of Horn of Winter : Last longer, not needed to refresh so often, but i'm still trying to use it when i can during a rotation because of the extra RP i can get from it.
Glyph of Blood Tap : Well it no longer damages me, which is good, i use it with my UB.
Glyph of Raise Dead : Now i don't have to carry that stupid dust to summon my ghoul.


Could you point out the strong points and focus of your spec?
When speccing for frost there's 4 major talents to look for and to choose after, and that is Killing Machine, Black Ice, Chill of the Grave and Subversion.
I've chosen 0/3 in subversion because i haven't had any tanks having trouble holding aggro from me.
3/5 in Black Ice because i've wanted to spent some talents in CotG to get extra RP so i can use FS more often, and because of that i only could spec 4/5 into KM.

Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experienced/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs?
I have on Unholy tank off spec which is currently only used by me in the daily hc. Dont bother waiting 20 minutes to get in as an DPS. But the gear is somewhat up to date, meaning i've tanked 10/12 bosses in ICC with it, but only when my guild needed it to get going. I tanked as MS when Ulduar was the great raid also in Unholy and after that i've been changing my tank spec alot, but now i'm back in unholy because i just enjoy tanking in that tree.


We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one?
Im currently leveling up JC, so i should soon get my crafting profession, but yea i would be prepared to reroll if you asked that of me.



General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?
Im gonna try to make it short. I first started raiding in a guild called De Danske Tempelriddere( a danish guild) where i was in 6 months before it got merged with a guild called C O T S and it then became Vanir, in both DDT and Vanir i was raid leader. I decided to leave Vanir because it wasn't going as well as you could hope for in the end, my raid leader partner decided to leave before i did, and that just made my eager to leave even bigger. I left Vanir (which got disbanded only weeks after me leaving) and changed server and faction changed, i was now on Al'Akir where i wanted to play with one of my IRL friends, sadly he stopped playing so i didn't manage to raid on Al'Akir, then i moved to Zenedar where i joined the Danish guild called Flagforeningen, i seemed like a very nice guild with some good progress. But i quickly figured out that it would only get into there alt ICC10 runs because of it seemed like they prioritized the Officers over the raiders in 10 man and the 25 man wasn't always running because of alot of slacker not signing up for it, and u quickly got tired of it. Then i spoke to some of my old friends from Vanir and found out that alot of them were now in a guild called High and Mighty, i faction changed and got back to ghostlands to play whit some of my good friends in WoW. I fast got promoted to raid leader and i've been in the guild in a couple of months now and also raid leading.


What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
First of all the Death Knight give Horn of Winter to the raid which is awesome for all melee classes and also meaning that shamans doesn't have to use their Strength of Earth totem and the frost specced DK also gives a 20% melee haste buff, and again shamans don't need to use a totem this time Windfury Totem, it gives the shaman some more totem choices.
Personally because of i have been raid leading so much i have a good raid awareness and i'm always up to date with tacs on almost every boss in the game, i like to read guides so i always can almost "master" each encounter, of course i cant play perfectly in an encounter i've never tried but i won't take me many tries to fully understand it.


What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?
I wish DK's had something like a charge, something to make the enemies come closer... oh wait.
No seriously the thing i wanted before i saw it being added in cataclysm is some more like, this tree you use for tanking, and this tree you use for dps'ing. Because right now, everytime they change a little in the trees you have to do alot of work to find out what is better tanking wise and what is better dps wise. Thats why i really am looking forward to see cataclysm hit the stores.


What do you think you can add to Eternals?
I can add a stabile frost DK who always stay up to date with his spec and boss encounters, i can also help RL's to discover new ways to do the encounter, or better ways. I'm always trying to do my best in every way.
I'm also reading stuff about other classes meaning i have some knowledge about almost every class, but of course i know mostly stuff about Death Knights.


What do you think Eternals can do for you?
Eternals can make me see the whole end game expansion, i really want to down LK25 hc and i think i can reach that in Eternals and when i've gotten to that goal there is still alot of achievements to do in raids. There's always things to do in raids, unless you got every achievement in the game ^^


Do you know anyone from Eternals who might have something nice to say about you?
Well i don't know i if Tyrex can remember me from Vanir, at that time my character was called Minidkz

My name is Niklas Nielsen im 17 years old and i live in Denmark. Currently i'm educating on a technical gymnasium, as it called directly translated ) Im on my second year there in i like it very much. When school starts again i will get some large homework sometimes and because of that i sometimes maybe need to ask a day off raiding, but usually that is not the case. Im still living at my parents, because, yea, im 17 and of course they sometimes force me to take a little break from WoW sometimes, you know family things and stuff, but usually not more than a day :-)

tho im still shocked that u dont have 4 set, i meen u played your DK in vanir with my druid, and now i got all the offset items and 6 tier items and ive sold about 10-15 saronite, so cant realy see any excuse for not already having it.

And Tyrex, of course it will, i wouldn't be applying to Eternals if i knew i was going to slack, im applying to Eternals to improve me as a player and hopefully see all of the end expansion before cata. is released.
