Character specific questions

Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve them in the future, meaning which stats do you prioritize and why?:
Doing mostly ICC 10 i've chosen the best i have come across with priority on Haste. The full T10 together with the best Chest and crafted boots, have made me reach close to Global cooldown on my casttime in 25 man raids > 1,01 on a good raid mix/buff. Still i've got a few items that have Crit as prio, it surely needs to go when possible.
(and i still don't understand the Crit prio on T9 - pls explain, anyone, if you can Smile )
I belive that on hardmode priority will go on manaregen and spellpower.

Comment on how you've chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants?:
On all items, there are "best choice" enchant according to you specc. For my healer it's Spellpower and haste as long as i don't run out of mana on a boss fight. It's a tight balance and only on a real "bad night" when everyone (me included) mees things up, that I can have had mana problems.
So it's pure Spelpower on gems, as long as haste is close to 800/global cooldown=1 sec.
Enchants with as much spellpower as possible keeping my mana reg while casting up.

What glyphs are you using and why?:
First, all talents are aimed maximizing Rejuvenation and Nourish, therefor my choise of glyphs.
"Glyph of rapid Rejuvenation" has focus on raidhealing (why did i write that), getting my rejuvenation tick the same amoint of heal on 12 sec instead of 18sec. That is again with at casttime close to 1 sec.
"Nourish" does give me 6% extra heal from all hots on the target so it's an obvious choise.
"Swiftmend" is so nice, cause it don't clear the hots whenever i need to pull some heavy healing. It don't make sence to waste good work because you need a big heal.

Could you point out the strong points and focus of your spec?:
Apart from the normal raidbuff the strong side of a druid is the ability to move AND heal - HOTS. Therefor all talents has been choosen to maximize my hots. With several hots (regrowth/rejuvenation, regrowth and lifebloom), in a tight situation, i can keep a tank alive with a lot of "nourish" - but that's the downside of a druid, burning all my mana.

Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experienced/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs?:
I do have ICC gear (no T10 bonus) for Balance and are up to date with the mechanics and Talents. However the rotation probably need some practice, as the focus in a fight is so different than from a healer perspective.

We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one?
Any time:). But i only have 1. I do have Alchemy and Herb on my Rogue, so if you see some good choise (guild related), i'm happy to change it.

General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?:
-DDT. My first guild DDT (De Danske Tempelriddere) simply got more and more social and had problems getting raids going. The best RL left and formed a new guild - I joined him shortly after (COTS)
-COTS. Finally getting some serious raiding, with guys that wanted the same as me, good spirit and a lot of fun. Did have succes in ICC till the GM got irl problems > woman.
-Vanir. We then formed Vanir with all the former COTS people and at the same time merged it with the best people from DDT. A really succesful start in ICC10/25 where we downed 11/12 and 7/12 in ICC 10/25 the first weeks. However, i believe that RL's are the base of any guildprogress and we only had a few of them (2).
Vanir still exist, i'm soon the only member and GM. I shut down the guild activity this week, simply because we had pulled to much load on our RL and noone wanted to back it up or were able to do some real raidleading. Ohhh, I became GM by pure accident:)

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
Overall I believe I have a good perspective of a fight, understanding where to place myself and which one is the next player to take damage.
The druid healers strenght is healing the continues raid damage, still being able to move around and away from hotspots - no other class has that ability.

What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?:
Well, without changing the whole game, a good solid and constant 15-20k heal/cast is the only thing i miss from time to time. But then again, it would not be a druid Smile

What do you think you can add to Eternals?:
A good and serious raider, that always tries to do the best, getting it ALL down. Always prepared and ready, both on tacts and char.
A very social and carm personality (but not while healing) with a large portion of humor (maybe too much, at some times).

What do you think Eternals can do for you?:
Getting some good raids together with people, that just as I, are serious about the play. Rumor is that you don't have these "well I have nothing to do - let's try the old bosses" in your guild. I believe Eternals is a real good guild if you want to do some serious end game raiding.

Do you know anyone from Eternals who might have something nice to say about you?
Not completly updated on your new members, but a few from vanir. Juiemanden, Tyrex, Healyetlól and ....

Personal information; Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?:
Kim, age 52 (yep, that's right). Badminton and skydiving stopped by a bad knee, so it's wow and sailing (with sail of course). Temperary out of job and my son is playing, so wife is out naging 2:1.

Additional information which you would like to name?:
I was GM at Vanir, but never intented it to be; just sort of happened. So I have no intention of being officer and my RL skills are simply to low. Just looking forward to do some good raiding Smile

thanks for your apply, we will get back to you shortly.

btw the crit on t9 items, was based on the old druid talents. Where druid could get away with 300 haste, plus the fact that rejuves could crit with the t9 4set bonus.

u considered useing glyph of wildgrowth?

Druid, Resto, Goldendruid (Accepted) Empty T9 and Swiftmend

Post  Goldendruid Sun Apr 18, 2010 2:45 am

Well, i know that the T9 was based on the old druid ability - but working with hots a crit change does not make sence, your crit would most likely end up as overhealing. So it was meant more like a joke, as i see it, anything else like for examble a bonus granting you 2..4 sec more on your rejuv. would make sence.

And yes, already changed my glyph (swiftmend) to wildgrowth. I'm not sure, but i might regret it Smile As i said, i've mostly run 10 man instance, and done so many "savings" with the instant swiftmend. This is likely to be rare on a 25 man instance and the extra hot from glyph og swiftmend will not only in teory but also in practice give more healing o the raid Smile
