Ishken Marksmanship Hunter (Accepted)

General information: Currently i am on the horde side in a 25 man progression guild, i am however looking for a new guild as there has been alot of drama recently and i dont liek dramaz!

Race: Tauren (not the best for a hunter i know but c'mon cows are awesome)

Played Time on your character: 89 days 63 days at level 80 (big bc raider huh)
Profesions and level of professions: 450 jewelcrafting 450 mining (i am currently using mining and jewelcrafting to raise the mony to power level enchanting for the ring enchants)
Do you have a stable internet connection (Yes/No and average MS in raids): yes my connection is stable normally around 90-100 ms in raids and i rarely dc unless its patch day on ghostlands which you just have to love

What other characters do you have?
i have a level 80 prot paladin on Quel'Thalas and a level 73 draenie death knight tank (who has been that level since 2-3 weeks after the release of wotlk cause lvelling as a tank sucks so much)

Do you have pre-WotLK raiding experience, if so what?
Well as my play time at 80 shows i had very little time in the burning crusade (unfortunatly) but because of blizzards beautifull patches i was able to clear kara and za before the release of wotlk... since then the only bc raids i have not completed are Maggy's and SSC

What 10 man and 25 man Ulduar bosses have you cleared and of which out of those bosses have you done on hard mode?
For some unkown reason the only boss i have not done on 10 man is yogg-sarron (even though i have starcaller o.0 liek wtf) and on 10 man hard mode i only need flame lev, iron council and yogg sarron. 25 man i have fully cleared (minus algalon) and on hard mode i have completed Flame lev, XT, Kologarn, Hodir and Thorim.

Character specific questions:


Explain your current gear choices and how you hope to improve then in the future.
The reason i dont yet have any tier 10 is because when icecrown got released i had the pleasure of staying with my family for 3 weeks so i was majorly behind on that front from the beggining and when i did eventually come back 264's dropped for the slots that i would have been buying T10 in (head and legs), the reason i do not have T10 for my chest shoulders or hand is because my chest gives me a crazy amount or armor pen that i just cant afford to loose right now and the shoulder's and hands allow me to still have the tier 9 2 set bonus which is a nice increase to dps even still in the future i will hope to firstly replace my shoulders and hands which i am going to be saving for as of this weeks raid reset since i just bought the 60 EoF belt as i only had a 232 (lol fail), after that i will either be getting the T10 chest or if i already have a 251+ chest by then it will be whichever out of the set pieces i do not have that has the highest increase in stats.


Comment on how youve chosen to gem and enchant your character, and why you have chosen these gems/enchants.
i have a mixture of agility and armor pen gems, this is because i have the needle incrusted scorpion (armor pen trinket) so i only need to be soft capped for the moment untill i get Death's choice or Deathbringer's Will then i will be going full out armor pen gemmed, i also have 1 +10 all stats and 1 10 agi 10 crit gem for my meta and for the socket bonus's on the two pieces of gear that have these gems. My enchants are those reccomended to me by my class leader and from other hunter websites that i have been on.


What glyphs are you using and why?
currently i am using
Glyph of hunters mark: because i have 3 points in improved hunters mark as it is a great buffer to the other hunters (750 ap glyphed and talented instead of 550 i think it is)
Glyph of killshot: reducing the cd of this move by 6 seconds makes a very noticable difference on boss fights such as rotface and putricide where the last 20-30% is the crazyest part (and also its just really fun seing big numbers xD)
Glyph of steady shot: i use this glyph because as armor pen marks i use steady shot ALOT and serpent sting is ALWAYS on my target so increasing the damage of one of my main moves by 10% is really very nice

Do you have any notable offspec gear and are you experience/up to date with the mechanics of playing your offspecs?
my offspec right now is a pvp beast mastery spec, mainly cause i like having the hp of a tank hehe. I am however familiar with both beast mastery and survival in pve however if i was to change from mm to either one of these i would of course have to change my gems but i would be happy to do so if it was going to be a permanent spec change

We require you to have at least one crafting profession (not engineering). If you have two gathering professions, would you be prepared to reroll one?
yes i am already in the process of making the money to powerlevel enchanting so my 60 stamina will soon be gone QQ



General questions

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving?

Strangulation Point- i was an officer in this guild throughout naxx and ulduar and i ended up leaving because there was too much drama being cause and not enough progression being seen.

Pwnies- joined halfway through ulduar and was present for the guild first of yogg on 25 man, i was kicked for inactivity because i had started college and had lost alot of intrest in the game at this point

Casual raiding (my current guild)- joined roughly a month or so after leaving the game for a while and was happy here up untill about 2-3 weeks ago when alot of drama started happening and there was alot of disagreements in the guild.



What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
Because of my spec i provide a great raid buffer with the improved hunters mark and also trueshot aura which not only helps the other hunters but melee also, as a hunter i am also versatile to kiting/tanking adds in certain fights in icecrown, saurfang being the best example of this



What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?
i would give myself a bloody heal..i think hunters and rogues are the only class that cant heal QQ (okay i can if im bm but it doesnt count)



What do you think you can add to Eternals?
i think i could add another great hardcore raider and another player who is dedicated to progression


What do you think Eternals can do for you?
i think eternals can give me the progression and endgame community i have been looking for since being kicked from pwnies, dont get me wrong casual raiding are a good strong guild but i feel i can give more to a guild that has more to offer

My names Stuart im 18 and i live in good old Edinburgh (the CAPITAL of scotland ) when im not playing wow im playing cod mw2 its another insane addiction of mine hehe i am currently unemployed and living with my parents but rarely do i get nagged to stop being on the computer i am generally left to my own devices.



Additional information which you would like to name?
From looking at the other hunters in Eternals i personally feel that i am put to shame but i hope i can get the chance to prove myself to you guys and show you that the difference in gearis not as large as it may seem

Hi there Ishken and thanks for the app.

I've had a look at your gear/spec/gems/etc. Your talent setup is ok, however I feel the points in Hunters Mark are only really worth it if you raid with at least 2 other hunters. Your gear is ok for what it is and it's enchanted properly with epic gems as well, which shows your not skimping. My main concern is with your gem choices and some of the nicer socket bonuses that have been overlooked and could easily be achieved with some re-shuffling. Also there is something that you are missing which is the bread and butter of every MM hunter setup. Any chance you could tell me what it is?

Also you are lacking in Hard mode and ICC exp, which would be at least a decent indication of whether or not you know how to play and know boss tactics.

Mining is also totally not a Hunter raiding profession btw.

i agree with the point you made about the improved hunters amrk so i decided to go respec and take improved barrage instead this also allowed me to drop my glyph on hunters mark and i was able to pick up THE glyph for marks hunters which is of course glyph of serpent sting (i presume it was this you were refering to as the bread and butter of mm hunters xD) the only reason i didnt have it is cause i was specced for imp hm also i re gemmed my head to get the +8 agi socket bonus with the +10 all stats gem instead of only getting +4 agi from my bracers

also forgot to add in about the mining, i did say in the app that i was only using it to make money to power enchanting and will hopefully be rid of it withing 1-2 weeks
