Do you have a stable internet connection (Yes/No and average MS in raids): Indeed i do, it is roughly about 30-40fps with about 100max ms, however since wotlk its been abit lower on the fps and a bit higher on the ms, but whos isn't?

General questions
Previous guilds and reasons for leaving? Serious raiding guilds have been FTW and BRB - Reason behind why i left FTW was that there came a time when there were a fair too many locks in the guild and sadly you don't need 4-5 locks in a raid, and i just wasn't picked anymore Reason behind BRB, was simply because i failed my trial - I was no where near geared enough for what they were doing/wanting to do, therefore ofcourse i failed. However though to add since then i've put ALOT of effort into my character to get him the gear he has at 70 and 80, and hopefully will be a constant improving process to increase all stats and damage

What role do you feel you provide in a raid and what areas of strengths do you feel your class and spec has over others?
Well depending on your spec a warlock can be a sb button basher, or be a dot uptime basher, either which still does alot of dmg, and alot of dps. When pre- WotLK i thought my dps was pretty good, as back then i was the sb button basher which all i had to do was proc trinks when off CD and nuke away. Now that i'm level 80 and don't find that there is a spec i like between demo/detro i've gone to afflic/destro to try another way of doing good damage.
I personally think that with the spec i was pre WotLK 0/21/40 i did some good dps, however post WotLK i haven't tried this new spec in raids or anything but 56/0/15 has done some immense damage and dps in heroics at 80.
What 1 thing would you change about your class if you could?
The one thing i would change is probably that most pointless spell at 80 - Demonic Circle - Summon and Teleport, simply because it has no REAL use in heroics/raids that i've found
What do you think you can add to Eternals?
I personally think i can add another bright and bubbly member, always up for a laugh and to joke about with, in the same way i'd add a serious player when coming to raiding who doesn't mess about when not supposed to.

What do you think Eternals can do for you?
Well what i'd like from Eternals is to just be welcomed into a friendy and chatty evironment where there is laughs and jokes all round, and again like i said above - to be able to raid seriously and to add to some of those Server firsts you guys have already achieved
Personal infomation; Name, age, where you live, interests/hobbies, Job and family that will nag you to stop raiding?
Well to start off my name is Mark, i'm at the age of 16 however my family aren't the one to pull the plug out or any of those ridiculous excuses. I was brought up in Bristol and now i'm currently living in the town Reading. My interests are ofcourse WoW, but outside WoW would be to be playing football for my football team which i'm currently in where i do training on a friday afternoon, and play matches on a sunday morning/afternoon therefore not interfering with your current raiding times. At the moment as i'm in full time education i don't have a job but will be probably be looking for one part time over the Xmas hols so no worries on the nagging
Additional information which you would like to name?
Well thank you very much for taking the time read my application and i hope to hear back from you guys soon
In the meen time GL on your raids
I'll be checking the post regularly but you can also contact me ingame via mail or wisper to Léonál - or even to my email address driva_101@hotmail.co.uk.
Thanks again

Re: Warlock Affliction - Léonál (Accepted)
Affliction isnt the simplest of specs to get max dps from, could you explain your full rotation and which dots/spells take priority over others

Re: Warlock Affliction - Léonál (Accepted)
Which stat(s) will you focus on when gearing up (crit/haste/hit/dmg/spirit/etc?)
Is the spec you have right now the one you would use for 25man raiding? And what would be the spells you use in your "rotation"?
Edit: ronab beat me to it!

Hey guys,
Well at this very moment i've specc'd Afflict, as i've been searching for sometime and there is argues over the best spec for raiding - but as you can see i'm Affliction.
Well i've been reading up spell rotations for a warlock as affliction as i've not really tried this in raids but so far it goes something on the lines as this:
For Mobs:
Curse of Agony, Corruption, Unstable Affliction, Immolate; followed by Shadowbolts. I cast Unstable Affliction and Immolate last because they require a cast time and i use a /stopcasting macro to maximize speed between casts. So far this is the best rotation i have worked out for trash mobs. But come'on trash mobs shouldn't be alive no longer than 1-2SB if your in a descent group
For Bosses: (Only tried in Heroics)
Unstable affliction, Haunt, Curse of Agony, Corruption, Siphon life, Shadowbolt - then repeat Shadowbolt until DoT's need reapplying. After that i rinse and repeat, but like i said - i've been reading alot on it and there are so many ways of being able to do this.
Hope this answers your questions on spell rotate.
As for the stats Gnock, again i've been reading up but i know personally that i need to push hit rating higher to 368 to cap. After that i've it will probably be spell dmg/spirit, as haste is useless due to instant casts most of the time and crit will only be benefited from SB.
As for the spec right now i'm using yes it MOST likely will be the spec i'll use for Raiding as i've spec'd Malediction for the improved CoE. However tho, i'll happily re-spec to whatever is mostly needed, and will adapt my gear to that spec.
Hope that answers your questions all?

StopCasting macro? im not 100% on this but doesnt the server queue spells so using a stop casting is not needed anymore?

Hey der,
Well its not been the most active macro going.. but does help sometimes..
But to be perfectly honest - its a learning process Affliction. As i've been chatting to people all around teh server for Affliction rotations, and they all say different.
But i spose the best way is to partly figure out the bets for yourself, and what works best for you whilst trying to max the dps.

The servers 'assume' your next spell will be the same as your last, so if it isnt, theres a tiny lag between changing spells. IIRC it actually made LB spam for a elesham better than LB/CL rotations, though mathmatically it should be the other way round. Dont quote me on that though, just going on snippits ive heard.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to apply. Before we move forward with your app we would like to trial you in a heroic. You won't need buff food and flasks etc, just to show u can play some and answer some questions. Give myself or Ronab a /w in game to sort out a time and place.

Hey there Yeah sounds good to me I was in the Heroic Violet Hold with you today Rigsby, however as we both know... That wasn't the best heroic going.. hehe
Re: Warlock Affliction - Léonál (Accepted)
Hey there, just wanted to say i'd like to set up a heroic for Wednesday as i'm having problems with sending/recieving wispers and there are a fair few addons bugging up on me i think
So if that would be possible for tomorrow that would be great

If you have an old DBM it could possibly be that, sounds a bit wierd but also happened to a few others on forums.

Re: Warlock Affliction - Léonál (Accepted)
We are going to offer you a trial. Be warned though that you are trialling at the same time as another lock and you 2 will be in direct competition with each other. This can end several ways; 1 is he is better than you and we promote him and ask you to leave, 2 is you both do well and we promote you both or finally you both might not make our standards and both be asked to leave.
If you accept this then give myself or an officer in game a /w for trialist spot.
